Discovery Wk 6
This week for discovery we were focusing on RESPONSIBILITY.
One way we can show responsibility is by taking care of the things that we choose to use.
That means we
- use the things properly.
e.g. not hitting playdough with the container lid because it might crack and break.
e.g. not throwing building equipment around.
e.g. only using the scissor to cut paper we are supposed to be cutting.
- put away the things we use.
- not snatching or grabbing things of other people.
Comment: That is not respectful.
e.g. it could break or rip it.
Some of the activities we had this week were:

Some of the activities we had this week were:
- Construction - Mobilo and Blocks
- Chalk outside (We did some really awesome pictures but Miss R forgot to take a photo of them... oops)
- Playdough (We did a great job of being responsible at this activity!!! An another oops though on the photo... it was a busy session.)
- Pastel and Dye (We used white pastel on white paper to draw a picture and then painted it with dye. It appeared like magic.)
- Dress Ups (We had to be extra responsible with this because Ms Jury let us the dress ups. Thank you Ms Jury.)
- Paper craft (We got to make lady bugs. Miss R wouldn't tell us how to make them, so we had to figure out how to do it ourselves. We were super resilient and two of us figured out how to do it!)
- We also had fun creating butterflies for ART but thats a work in progress!

Literacy: Rain Poetry/Umbrella Art
Our rain poem was inspire by all the rain we had during the flood week. We liked how each sentence started the same way except the last sentence.
We decided to create our own poem. We got into groups and created a sentence each, then we all came back together and chose the once we like the best. Here is the we made as a class.
Finally we made our own poems. We were going to put them in our poem books to take home but then we got a super idea of putting on our wall. So we created a rain background (cloudy/stormy) and hung them up in our classroom.
