The Giant Walk

As part of Road Safety week, our school participated in the 'Giant Walk'. Our buddy class joined us and helped us stay safe on our walk.

We were very tired and hungry after our long walk but we had a great time!
Special thank you to Poppy & Dylan's mum and Summer's mum for coming with us on the walk to help us stay safe.

Learning about the expressway

Today Max's mum came to talk to us about the express way. Her job is all about keeping the people who working on building the express way safe.

This is a traffic cone. Its big and orange so its easy to see. It is nearly as big as us.

This sign is used to keep us safe. We need to STOP when they show us the red side. We can GO SLOWLY when they show us the green side.

Here is Rory all dressed up in the safety gear.

Bag pipe

When the bag pipes started playing, we wanted to go and listen. Neve hear the big drum first. We all hear the big drums. We all wanted a turn on the instruments except Ella but only some of us got a turn.

"The bat thing felt spongy when you held it." said Max
"It felt like there was wind coming out of it." said Dylan
Rory said "It felt a little bit cold."
"It felt like air was coming out of it." said Poppy.
"When I was bang it it felt like I have hammering a piece of wood. I could hear it in my ear. It was hurting my ears." said Olivia.
